It’s been 6 days since I left the Nigerian Youth Service Corps Orientation Camp, Paiko, Niger State. I know I will be thinking about that place for the rest of the year. It felt like a revelation. I’m still counting what I found there.
4 days in, someone asked me to send a photo of myself. I told her I didn’t have any. I only had photos of the grass. It was as if nature kept saying to me “I am plenty”. New insects, new trees, new grass, new leaves and the always returning newt.
I sent one of those grassy pictures to Amaka and and she suggested I create an album. It was a brilliant idea.
Here’s a photo album of my time there.
I cant ignore the fact that I’ve not been on here for 18 months and that it’s a different URL and a different look. It is a new dispensation for me. My practice is expanding, so is my life. I had to go and discover what that would require from me. I’ll still be sharing. It’s just going to be different in depth and breadth. Thank you for sticking around. I don’t take it for granted.
Till next time. 🤍
